NORM-VET - the monitoring program for antimicrobial resistance in the veterinary and food production sectors
On behalf of the Norwegian Food Safety Authorities, the Norwegian Veterinary Institute monitors antimicrobial resistance in bacteria from feed, food and animals (NORM-VET). The aim of the monitoring is to form a basis for the detection, interpretation and evaluation of trends regarding the occurrence of resistance in Norway.
In addition to NORM-VET, there is a separate monitoring program for MRSA in pigs.
